COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Automotive technician Steve Travis was named to the Toyota 2014 Assembly of Champions, the only technician in the United States to receive the honor.

Travis is an employee of Larry H. Miller Liberty Toyota in Colorado Springs. He will represent the United States at the Toyota International Service Champions’ Assembly in Nagoya, Japan, this October.

“Steve exemplifies the standards of Larry H. Miller Dealerships,” said Todd Hilleboe, general manager of Larry H. Miller Liberty Toyota. “His dedication to his profession, and this honor he has received, make all of us at this dealership very proud. We appreciate his hard work and look forward to his representing us in Nagoya."

The 2014 Assembly of Champions recognizes the top assistant service manager, technician, parts professional and collision repair technician in several countries. In order for Travis to be chosen, his dealership had to achieve Service Management Excellence. He then had to attain Technician Excellence, Master Diagnostic status for 2014 and take the Master Diagnostic Technician Qualification test.

Travis has worked for Larry H. Miller Liberty Toyota for 27 years. He also worked at the store for 10 years prior to Larry H. Miller acquiring the dealership in 1988.

“I am honored to receive this award,” said Steve Travis. “Along with my fellow employees, we are committed to providing a quality service experience to all of our customers.”
