SAN DIEGO — Bob Baker Lexus has reached a settlement with the family of four people who were killed in a 2009 car crash involving a loaner vehicle from the dealership. Federal investigators found that a floor mat in the vehicle may have caused the gas pedal to stick, ABC 10 News reports.

The family of California Highway Patrol Officer Mark Saylor, his wife Cleofe, their daughter Mahala and his brother-in-law Christopher Lastrella sued both Bob Baker Lexus and Toyota following the crash. In 2010, Toyota settled with the family for $10 million, but the family felt the dealership was more at fault after an investigation revealed that a man had reported floor mat and acceleration issues to the dealer.

The terms of the settlement with the dealership, which is now closed, were not disclosed.
