VAN HORN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP – Van Horn Automotive Group provides high level training for candidates with two options for completion: (1) ‘Learn on the Job’ while maintaining full-time employment with Van Horn or (2) ‘School to Work’ while maintaining part-time employment with Van Horn while attending technical college. High Gear program benefits include: scholarship opportunities, tool allowance, earn while you learn, real-world / hands-on experience, networking, and job placement.
During the two-year period and upon completion many doors open for the apprentices. The candidates will have a career opportunity as a full-time auto technician with Van Horn Automotive Group, participate in all manufacturing specified training and become a technician, complete ASE certifications, achieve technical proficiency, and the tools purchased through Van Horn Automotive Group become the employee’s property.
“In my short time in the High Gear Program at Van Horn I have already learned so many things that would have taken months to learn through an education. In my opinion, on the job training is a fast track to enriching your automotive knowledge," SAID AJ Klug, current Van Horn High Gear apprentice.
Let’s face it, getting an education and deciding on a career path is not a cookie cutter process. Van Horn Automotive Group’s High Gear program is a masterclass in a palatable form that offers an opportunity for individuals to grow and gain competency in the workplace, feel good about what has been accomplished, and earn a good living with a great company.
