A newly launched Honda SUV model already got a top safety nod.
The 2025 Pilot, a midsize SUV, won the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick+ award after the nonprofit group put it through rounds of tests.
Updates to the vehicle’s second-row passenger protection for the 2025 model helped it earn the top rating, which requires good or acceptable showings in several tests, including front pedestrian crash prevention, plus good-rated headlights in all trim levels.
