TSD Mobility Solutions, a global software provider for automotive dealerships and rental car companies, acquired Zubie, a connected-car technology firm known for its telematics solutions that help fleets monitor and manage assets.
Founded in 2012, Zubie provides tools for round-the-clock GPS tracking, vehicle health and maintenance reporting, driver performance monitoring, check-in management, fuel tracking, vehicle valuation, and real-time analytics. The company’s focus on data reliability and customer support aligns closely with TSD’s operational goals.
“Joining forces with TSD allows us to deliver greater value to the rental and dealership operators who rely on us daily,” said Zubie CEO Chad Caswell. “Customers can expect faster innovation, broader integrations, and more tools to strengthen their operations.”
Enhanced Telematics Offerings
The acquisition is intended to bolster TSD’s global telematics capabilities, improving its ability to support dealership and rental fleets.
“Bringing Zubie into the TSD family strengthens our ability to manage fleets across North America and beyond,” said TSD President Shawn Concannon. “Our telematics offerings are now more robust than ever.”
Industry Recognition for Innovation
Zubie’s technology has received industry recognition for innovation, including a Gold Stevie Award for Technology Excellence for its smoke-detection service, which enables rental operators to proactively monitor vehicles and enforce policies related to smoking and damage prevention.
Continued Leadership and Growth
Concannon noted that Zubie’s leadership team will remain in place following the acquisition. “The Zubie team has built a strong reputation for innovation and reliability,” he said. “We’re eager to see the continued impact of their work under the TSD umbrella.”
Houlihan Lokey served as Zubie’s exclusive financial adviser on the transaction.
